Nick & Sarah - San Diego

Last weekend I drove to San Diego to photograph Nick & Sarah's wedding on Coronado Island. It was a beautiful bay front wedding and the reception followed at the Star of the Sea which is a banquet hall over the water.

St. Louis Visit

Last weekend I took a trip back to St. Louis to visit my parents and long-time friends. While I was there, I got the chance to meet and photograph Lachlan and Madelyn. Lachlan is a month old and is the son of my best friend Shannon and her husband Chuck. As I was sitting there watching Shannon feed him, I was amazed to see her transformation into a Mom. Madelyn is a week old and is the daughter to our family friends Mike & Amanda.

Michael & Elisa - Sedona Engagement Shoot

Today we headed up to Sedona to take Michael & Elisa's engagement photos. I met Elisa 8 years ago taking a summer school course while I was living in Phoenix for my internship. We've had such great times together and I'm glad that she's finally met Michael. He's such a sweet guy and you can tell how in love they are just by the way they look at each other.

We had a wonderful day and enjoyed spending time with you both. Can't wait for the wedding!!!

Camryn turns 2!

Wow…the year has flown by! It seems like only yesterday I was photographing Camryn taking her first bite of birthday cake and now she’s 2! She had a Dora fiesta which included delicious food from Carolina’s and even a piñata.

Nanny turns 100!!!

On Saturday I photographed the most important and touching birthday I will ever be a part of…Nanny turned 100! She is such an amazing woman and I’m so grateful to know her. Born in Germany in 1909, she was a premature baby weighing about a pound and a half. The midwife recommended that her father take her out back and drown her. He refused and instead, put her in a shoe box filled with cotton and placed her in the warming oven of the coal stove for an incubator and kept the lid open for circulation of the air. She fought through being a premie, horrible burns during a cooking accident and breast cancer. She is a true fighter and survivor.

The day started off for Nanny with a trip to the salon to get her hair done for the party. Everyone did a great job decorating the hall. There was a slideshow of photos of Nanny throughout the years set to German music that brought her to tears. Her friends back in Germany supplied 100 red roses that were simply beautiful. The room was filled with friends and family from all over…oh yeah…and a cameraman from AZ 3 TV. I thought it would be a great story to share with people. Nanny was a little shocked when they arrived but she did a wonderful job. Her secret to living a long happy life…family. She’s a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother so she has plenty of that!

Rebekah turns 2!

On Saturday I photographed Rebekah's 2nd birthday party. Her parents cleared out the family room, brought in kids tables, chairs and had the folks from Abrakadoodle on-site for an art party. All the kids had a great time!

Their 12 week old English Mastiff puppy Authur. He's so adorable!!!
